The puppies are coming soon!

Priscilla was quite restless last night, so we thought the puppies might arrive, but no such luck. She is resting for a while and is then restless for a while. She can no longer get completely comfortable but is still feeling okay. As puppies always come in the middle of the night - tonight likely will be the night!

Priscilla's tummy.

Here she is the mom to be! Still looking beautiful and feeling good! Priscilla is such a wonderful dog - we can't wait to meet her new puppies and hope they will be as sweet and beautiful as she is!

The puppy count X-ray!

Well with the size of Priscilla's tummy we were hoping for a few more puppies but the puppy count x-ray showed only five big puppies (the puppies are labeled in red). If you click on the photo to make it bigger and look closely at the x-ray you can see the puppy heads, spines, legs and ribcages. The puppies look to be big in size so we hope that they all arrive safely. Fingers crossed!

The whelping room is all set up!

The whelping room is all set up and we are counting the days for the puppies arrival. We washed all the towels and blankets and cleaned up the room and got all the supplies together. The whelping box is all set up and Priscilla has been in and out a few times. Only few more days and counting.

Ten more days until the puppies arrive!

Priscilla is starting to get quite a big tummy. She is lazing around most of the time now and spends lots of her time sleeping on her back with her legs up in the air, showing off her tummy to anyone who might be walking by. Though, she still has the energy to chase the odd squirrel either a real one or an imaginary one! Priscilla is doing great and we are starting to get ready for the arrival of the puppies!  Ten more days and counting.....

Rangeley visits the nursing home.

Just like his big daddy Jefferson, young Rangeley (Wanderweg's Feature Story) has started to do therapy work at hospitals and nursing homes. Rangeley is a big sweet young pup (11 months in the photo) and everyone who sees him loves him and he is able to bring lots of smiles to lots of faces. What a great way to spend the day, bringing smiles to faces! We are very proud of both Rangeley and Jefferson for participating in such an important activity.

Barr is growing all the time!

Wanderweg's Free Spirit (Barr) attended another dog show this weekend and did a great job. The judges were impressed with this big puppy's beautiful size, head and coat. Barr was an excellent representative of the Leonberger breed and greeted everyone with a tail wag! We are very proud of Barr and his human mom too!

Drum Roll .... More news from the Cobequid dog show.

We are so excited that Wanderweg’s Mystic Magic (Sawyer) got two legs on his companion dog ( CD ) title at the Cobequid dog show. We couldn't be prouder of Sawyer and his mom. Huge congratulations to a fantastic obedience team! Our hearts just melt when we watch this big happy Berner boy working with his mom in the obedience ring!

The Best Puppy in Group show photo!

WOW we are still completely delighted with this beautiful pup's BIG show win. Stay tuned for more exciting news from this lovely Leo girl. Caoimhe is pictured at 10 months of age in this photo. What a great way to start a show career!
