What a face!
This is purple boy, he is still the biggest puppy and weighed 11 lbs at 4 weeks of age! The puppies sure are starting to look like little doggies now! They are so cute. Today, after a few days of rain, is going to be beautiful out so the puppies will get to spend a couple of hours outside this afternoon. They will love that!
Everyone is sleeping now!
After some fun play time the puppies one by one get tired and take a little cat nap - but my little helper isn't quite done with the fun play time yet. She tries to get the puppies up and moving, but when puppies are tired and happy they just go to sleep anyway. But they only sleep for a little while and are then ready to play again!

The fabulous five are four weeks old!
We have had a busy few days here at Wanderweg Kennel. The pups continue to grow and grow. Their inside area has been expanded to the entire puppy room and the whelping box has been removed. We have great flooring for the pups that help with their footing which is so important for young puppies. The puppies have lots of toys but love the kids the most. They are still pretty gentle with them so we are hoping we have a few more days before the puppies turn into chewing machines.

Puppy snuggles anyone?
What could be better than a pile of sweet puppies sitting on your lap? The puppies are getting quite interactive now and will give you kisses, will play with their toys and will crawl into your lap for some snuggle time! Their sharp little teeth are really coming in now and their little mouths are starting to think it is quite interesting to chew on things. Puppies will be puppies and they do love to chew!
Priscilla and her pups
The puppies now have a little more room to move around outside of their box, but over the next day or two they will get the entire room! They are really starting to walk, run and play now and will need a greater area to roam around, and then on the weekend they will get to go outside during the day and really start to explore the world!
The puppies are waking up!
The puppies were all sleeping in a row - too cute! After the first camera click yellow girl and green boy had a look, and then after the next camera click red and pink girls sat up, but not purple boy he just kept on sleeping and sleeping upside down! The pups are now eating some solid food and are growing and growing!

Caoimhe at a dog show!
What a beautiful young Leo girl Caoimhe is! Caomihe is a pup from Priscilla's first litter so she is a half sister to our fabulous five! She is pictured here at just under one year of age, so still has a lot of growing to do. We think she is a very lovely Leo. She is now half way to her Canadian Championship! Way to go!
Hopefully we will get some more puppy pictures uploaded tomorrow.

The fabulous five are three weeks old!
The puppies celebrated their three week birthday yesterday! Wow three weeks have already gone by - seems like yesterday they arrived. We always give a little sigh of relief when the puppies reach the three week mark as the first three weeks are the most stressful when you have puppies. So far, these sweet puppies have been easy, for which we are very grateful, but it isn't always that way.
My little helper had much fun helping with the pictures today. She is really enjoying the puppies and is going to be quite sad when they start chewing on her legs, toes and fingers! Yikes, the puppies are starting to get their teeth! You can see little white nibs poking out, but they still do not have any strength when they nibble on you. We still have a week or so of gentleness before they all turn into little chewing machines! The puppy pictures are from the top yellow girl, pink girl, red girl, green boy and bottom is purple boy!

The fabulous five - day 17!
The puppies are really starting to get funny now! They are beginning to be able to hear and try to look at you when you enter the room or sit in the box. They can hear now, but don't actually understand yet what sound is so it is very funny. They are also trying to play with each other and are really moving around. The pups can actually walk pretty good for their age. They are getting more interactive and will nibble your nose when you hold them and they love to be cuddled and of course they are finding their voices now that they can hear and are learning how to communicate with each other. They are very cute! Today was busy so hopefully tomorrow I will be able to get a few better pictures than I did today!
Eli playing frisbee!
This is Eli! He is a puppy from Holly's first litter with Delak and is 1 1/2 years old in this video clip. What a great looking young male Leonberger and so athletic, strong and happy! Eli looks like he is having a blast with his friends! Click on the arrow to watch the video, we love it!

The fabulous five are two weeks old!
The fabulous five turned 2 weeks old today and they had a busy day! They all got weighed and then had their first deworming meds. They weigh between 3 1/2 and 5 lbs. Yes, the purple boy is the pup that weighs 5 lbs! He is one big boy. The pups also had their first set of individual photos! They are really starting to move around now and can almost walk, though they look like drunken sailors and still tip over easily. They are starting to play and you can see that pink girl is playing with the toy! Yellow and red girl's eyes are pretty well open, but they still cannot see very well. The puppies are all doing very well and are too cute!
My bigger little helper loves the puppies too!
The puppies had some nice play time with another little helper, though he doesn't consider himself little at 5 years old! He has such a fun time playing with the puppies. They are really starting to realize when someone is in the box with them. The puppies eyes are starting to open now, some more than the others, but for red and pink girls you can see their eyes! How beautiful they are. They still cannot hear anything, but that will start to happen soon too. The pups continue to grow and grow and are becoming a little more interactive, though they are still not doing too much except eating, sleeping and moving about a little bit!

My littlest helper in the box again!
My littlest helper had a great time playing with the puppies this afternoon. They are starting to crawl into her lap and she loves it! Every chance she gets she tries to climb into the box and she is very gentle with the puppies. Her smile lights up the room when she is playing with them and they seem to like her company too! The only problem we have is that she isn't very happy when she has to leave them and gets shut out of the box! Too cute!
The fabulous five - day 12!
The puppies are really starting to move around now and are beginning to play a little with each other. Well play might not be quite the right word, but they are now starting to chew on each and are beginning to realize that there are other puppies in the box with them. They are also getting really cuddly when you pick them up and are starting to snuggle! Too cute!

The fabulous five - day 11!
The puppies continue to grow and are now ravenous most of the time! While Priscilla is still enjoying them she is spending more and more time out of the box. The pups are still happiest when she is in there with them, but when mom wants out that is where she goes. The puppies eyes are now tiny little slits so they should be opening soon and the are trying to get up on their feet a little, but can only get up on their front legs. They are too cute!

Puppy huddle - day 8
Well, I wasn't going to add a new posting today but then the puppies were looking so very CUTE all huddled together between Priscilla's front legs I couldn't resist getting the camera out and snapping a couple of pictures! The puppies are very happy puppies and Priscilla is being such a wonderful mom. She is doing a really great job with them!
