Puppies have their critical socialization period up to around 12 weeks of age, and a puppy in the first 12 weeks should experience as many positive things as possible, especially activities that the puppy will likely do as an adult. Here is Green boy in his new home learning all about riding in a canoe! He's looking pretty relaxed about the entire event. No problem it seems a canoe is a very comfy place to have a little nap! Too cute! Such a good puppy.
This blog follows the wonderful Leonberger dogs and puppies of the Wanderweg family. We are located in eastern Canada in beautiful Nova Scotia. We hope you will enjoy learning about our dogs and watching our puppies grow! They will certainly be too cute!

Puppies are 6 weeks old!
Wow where do the time go... the puppies are now over 6 weeks old. They are such great puppies, very sweet and friendly, though they are finding their sharp little pin teeth! They are starting to bite on your pant legs and shake their little heads! That's such fun. The weather hasn't been great but they are spending some time outside when the sun is out (which sadly isn't very often this summer!).

Puppies are loving the outdoors!
Puppies are doing great and are spending sometime outside now.. and they are loving that! They are exploring the drive and area and are experiencing different kinds of ground to walk on. Not much bothers them they are very sweet puppies!
